Vishveshwar’s Flying Star Recommendations for 2018

Ref: Flying Star Basics from the Chinese Public Domain

The Year of the Dog officially begins on 04 Feb 18, but in fact Jupiter is ahead of the official Chinese lunar calendar, so it makes vibratory sense to start correcting for it at the beginning of the (Western) solar calendar. Please have your expedients of choice in place by the beginning of the lunar year, and ONLY THEN go have a party in Chinatown!

This is actually a pretty benign year all told, with respect to the elemental dispositions of the flying stars. There are a couple of real nasty placements to watch out for, so lets get on those cases right up front. Broken Soldier in the East and Five Yellow in the North are the principal perps in question.

The following list of usual suspects is rank-ordered from most disasterous to least disasterous cases.

1. Five Yellow’s Earth element interferes with the Water element of the North direction to which it has currently flown. The Metal element drains earth and feeds Water, so the doctor is very clear that Metal should be applied to the North. This direction is involved with our guidance, so this affliction should be corrected, first order of business, please!

2. Broken Soldier’s Metal interferes with the native Wood element of the East direction, and this can kill our energy and inspiration. The Water element drains Metal and feeds Wood, so the doctor is equally clear that Water is indicated to correct the dead zone which will otherwise be to our East this year.

3. Jade Rewards’ Wood element interferes with the native Earth element of the Northeast. This direction also affects our guidance, and an afflicted Jade Rewards star can call “Peach Blossom” troubles, meaning that we will be tempted to break the Precept with respect to sexuality, and then to deny that it ever happened, perhaps being blown off our entire Path by the end of the year. Beware! The Fire element, which consumes Wood and feeds Earth, is most definitely indicated to kill this energy dynamic. Suddenly this direction in my house is completely covered with red. Seriously! The sacred red Ti plant out front has also suddenly started to thrive.

4. Huge Door is a difficult star in any case, and for Buddhists, this may amplify outflows. But the effect of it this year is mitigated by the Metal element of the West which drains it. We can further get this perp out of circulation by adding Metal and/or Wood to the West. I have a Double Dorje graphic, white on black, about 10 in. square, that has proven to be perfect for killing exactly this problem.

Well shucks, folks, I’ll be damned if the entire perp list for the entire year didn’t already just slide right on by! I purely do believe that I have just solved ALL of our individual and collective problems of the Year. of. the. Dog! Where’s the party already?

I’m basically a real “If it ain’t busted, don’t fix it” kind of guy, so I tend to ignore stars that are not in trouble. The one additional comment that I would make about this year’s stars is that we’re going to tend to do all right simply because the Center is being held by the Goddess (the real meaning of Star #9 according to me). The Goddess is fine in that privileged position already, but She would be a lot happier if we corrected for the fact that the Earth element of the sector is draining her Fire. So if you like Goddess energy, you’ll have a lot more of it this year if you add Wood (which restricts Earth and feeds Fire) to the Center. So my wooden Dholak (double-headed Indian devotee’s drum) has gravitated to the Goddess’ placement in the Center this year.

In general, I prefer flying star remedies that cost me zero money, because I have found that they work just as well as expensive Oriental gew-gaws, and I like my own house decorated with my own stuff. (I wonder where THAT wild idea could have come from?) I have found that the Five Elements are powerful enough in their ordinary secular forms to correct the energy field of my own house. But to each his own. Whatever works for you, please therefore apply.

Chinese Pentology (five-element doctrine), which is the basis of all these determinations above, is the best kept secret in planetary esotericism. But as awesome and effective as it truly is, it’s a remnant and the tip of the iceberg of a vast system of high empirical science which was brought here to Gaia long before recorded history, but was then lost by God’s will, because we needed to forget it so that we could get our spiritual basics absolutely straight, as a whole human-race cohort. But that 5,000-year trial is now coming to an end, and we’re necessarily going to start channelling back the entire system of ancient high science. In other words, it’s time for this cohort of the human race to come to evolutionary maturity, and the process, material and spiritual dimensions have to be synchronized. We will have to do the work, but the direction will come from God. That’s what human maturity means anymore, just in case you haven’t noticed it yet.

So I will return to this subject periodically for the rest of my life, but I will never get more involved with fengshui than what you see here, because this is all it’s good for, and even this much can make a huge difference, but it’s like the Notepad (basic text editor) program in an operating system, i.e., that particular kind of program is indispensible, but it’s not the point of the system, and it would be idiotic to try to live in it or extract meaning from it.

As Shirdi Sai Baba habitually put it: “Allah Maalik” (God is the Master). The whole tenor of this cycle of time is to make that fact more obvious, necessary, and binding through time. When it comes to interior decoration on the basis of anything at all, Your Murti (sacred image) of choice can be more effective than the fengshui Center or your front door, if you actually worship it sincerely and on a regular basis. So much for the dispensibility of fengshui.

I don’t take money for this effort because it would violate my Bodhisattva vows.
